Controversy exists over what some mental health experts call "hypersexuality," or sexual "addiction." Namely, is it a mental disorder at all, or something else?

It failed to make the cut in the recently updated Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or DSM-5, considered the bible for diagnosing mental disorders.

Yet sex addiction has been blamed for ruining relationships, lives and careers.

Now, for the first time, UCLA researchers have measured how the brain behaves in so-called hypersexual people who have problems regulating their viewing of sexual images.

 

The study found that the brain response of these individuals to sexual images was not related in any way to the severity of their hypersexuality but was instead tied only to their level of sexual desire.

 

In other words, hypersexuality did not appear to explain brain differences in sexual response any more than simply having a high libido, said senior author Nicole Prause, a researcher in the department of psychiatry at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA.

 

"Potentially, this is an important finding," Prause said. "It is the first time scientists have studied the brain responses specifically of people who identify as having hypersexual problems."

When I found out I was circumcised, I was horrified.

I was in second grade when I first heard about circumcision.

A group of boys at school were talking about it. I walked into the middle of the conversation.

At this point, I knew some penises looked different than others, but had assumed it was just one more way people were naturally different, like hair or eye colour.

One of the boys accused the Jews of circumcising their babies.

I was the only Jew at my school so I felt I had to defend my people.

How could a religion of tikun olam do something destructive to their newborns?

The scariest part for me, then, was thinking this might have been done to me.

I couldn’t believe my parents would have done this, so I told the other boys there was no way Jews did this to their newborns and that I wasn’t circumcised.

I didn’t find out I was wrong until sometime later.

One day, my dad pointed to the table in my house where it had happened to me and talked about it.

He seemed proud but he might have been joking.

After he told me, I ran to my room crying. My mom comforted me.

Before this, I had felt proud of being perfect, unaltered.

Now I knew I had been changed.

Somehow, I still couldn’t fully understand or accept what had happened.

I put it out of my mind and “forgot.”

CIRCUMCISION IS BARBARIC.

Circumcision of a boy if as painful as circumcision of a girl - that means cutting of the clitoris and labia of a girl! 

 

I cannot imagine why anyone would want to inflict significant injury and permanent damage on a child or any other human. 

It is as good to be circumcised as it is to cut off your eyelid so your eye no longer has the protection and lubrication it was designed to have.

 

A male was born with a foreskin for a reason, and it was not so it could be cut off!
Circumcised penises are no cleaner than a natural one - any one who says so obviously has no idea what they are talking about.

It is said "World Health Organization and the Center of Disease Control want all males circumcised", but that is not true.

 

The benefits of a foreskin far outweigh the benefits of circumcision.

 

Only a fool would want to inflict such terrible carnage on another human.

 

WHO and CDC do support circumcision, but only because American doctors and pharmaceutical companies make huge dollars out of the cruel process.

 

They are willing to sacrifice human health and wellbeing on the altar of monetary greed.

Circumcision of the male is just as barbaric and cruel as circumcision of the female. Most people would not even consider inflicting such damage on a girl, yet some still consider it an acceptable practice to perform on a boy.

If a man is circumcised, he faces an increased risk of experiencing delayed orgasm, and his female partner has an increased risk of not feeling sexually fulfilled.

This is the clear-cut conclusion of a new Danish research article, which has received international attention.

Some 5,000 sexually active men and women were surveyed about their experiences and possible problems with their sex lives. With a specific focus on circumcised men and their women, the results are startling.

“Circumcised men are three times as likely to experience a frequent inability to reach an orgasm,” says one of the researchers, Associate Professor Morten Frisch from Danish research enterprise SSI.

The Psychological Impact of Circumcision.

 

From a global perspective, most of the world does not practice circumcision; over 80% of the world's males are intact (not circumcised).

 

Most circumcised men are Muslim or Jewish; the USA is the only country in the world that circumcises most (60%) of its male infants for non-religious reasons.

 

Other countries that circumcised a significant minority of male infants for non-religious reasons include Canada and Australia.

 

This article refers mostly to the American practice, because the USA has the highest rate of non-religious circumcision and the most contentious debate about circumcision.

 

Long-term psychological effects. 

Without published studies, current knowledge of men's feelings about their circumcision is generally based on reports from self-selected men who have contacted the Circumcision Resource Center (CRC) and other circumcision information organizations.

 

The feelings reported generally include anger, sense of loss, shame, sense of having been victimized and violated, fear, distrust, grief, and jealousy of intact men.

SUICIDES IN U.S. LINKED TO CIRCUMCISION.

In the first hour of last night's Coast-to-Coast AM radio show, George Noory discussed the recently released U.S. suicide data and pointed out that the biggest, most shocking demographic increase in suicide rates between 1999 and 2010 were White males aged 45-60.

Noory, speculating and attempting to offer reasons for this data, following his rule of avoiding the topic of circumcision and genital mutilation, refused to mention in his discussion that these

White American men were the most savagely and uniformly circumcised generation and racial demographic in American (and probably world) history, with White males between 1950 and 1968 suffering a nation-wide average 90% neonatal circumcision rate.

Other races, Negroid and Hispanic, for a variety of reasons were comparatively exempt from the practice.

There are undoubtedly other aspects to be considered as possible contributory factors, but why refuse to discuss one of the most glaring elements that might be part of the picture?

Who besides the George Noorys of the world can deny that traumatic, invasive surgery severing thousands of sensate neurons in seconds, resultant life-long sexual desensitization, behavioural compensation and distortion for having been circumcised, and ethical consequences of being denied the right to choose regarding the shape and quality of one’s own genitalia, all as a net sum, deserves a prominent place at the table in any discussion of male-prevalent neurological disorder and suicidal tendencies?

Circumcision ritual kills 30 tribesmen in South Africa's Eastern Cape

Botched circumcisions killed 30 young men and landed almost 300 more in hospital during traditional initiation rites in a South African province.

The 30 deaths in rural Eastern Cape province occurred during the annual season when young males undergo a rite of passage into manhood.

Ten other youths were hospitalised after being rescued from a forest on Sunday, said provincial health department spokesman Sizwe Kupelo in a statement.

"The ten initiates' private parts are rotten. They are badly damaged. Their condition is scary," he said.

A further 293 young men were undergoing hospital treatment for dehydration, gangrene and septic wounds, Kupelo added. Some had lost their genitals.

Teenagers from ethnic Xhosa, Sotho and Ndebele groups typically spend around a month in secluded bush or mountains areas for their initiation to manhood.

This includes a circumcision as well as lessons on masculine courage and discipline.

Traditional surgeons perform the procedure in the bush, sometimes with unsterilised instruments or lacking in technique.

Botched circumcisions leading to penis amputations and deaths are an annual tragedy.

In May around 34 deaths in two other provinces were reported.

The ruling African National Congress said Sunday it was "distressed" over the latest deaths.

It called for basic medical training of the traditional surgeons to render "an entrenched and necessary part of our cultural fabric" safer.

I have learned from a friend of a little one she knows who has been fighting for his life after his circumcision surgery.

He was a healthy, full term, newborn baby  boy.  Perfect and loved.

His circumcision, done not for medical, nor religious reasons, nearly killed him.

He spent several days in the NICU on life support.

He has lost a good portion of his penis.

His adult sexual function will be altered.

He is days old, and has already had to have a surgery (in addition to his circumcision surgery) and there are many more in his future.

Friends, this is preventable.

All this happened, to this precious child, for no reason.

This HAPPENS.  It happens to real people.  To real babies.  Innocent babies who have not asked, nor do they need cosmetic surgery on their genitals. 

 

"It could happen to your baby." 

Please don't risk it.  It's not worth it.

That's all I can say about that.  Pray for this child.
